An opportunity to step into the surreal universe of Gorillaz at House of Kong, an exclusive exhibition at London’s Copper Box Arena from August 8 to September 3, 2025, celebrating the band’s 25th anniversary. This immersive experience offered fans a behind-the-scenes look at their creative evolution.
Working with the Creative Directors, Swear Studio, building fabricators, and technical production teams, Belinda led the transformation of Gorillaz’ iconic universe into a fully immersive event. She ensured all visual elements aligned with the creative vision while managing complex budgets, schedules, and resources.
Belinda also established and operated a dedicated props warehouse, overseeing dressers, buyers, and scenic artists, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and contractors. From production and set builds to scenic installations, she provided hands-on oversight to guarantee the highest creative and technical standards.
The exhibition brought Kong Studios to life as a labyrinth of interactive installations, rare artefacts, and live performances. Visitors journeyed through the band’s history, from early character sketches to full-scale models of their fictional worlds, including a walkthrough of Murdoc’s infamous Winnebago and a reimagined Plastic Beach, all set to a dynamic audio-visual narrative.
House of Kong also featured four exclusive live shows, each highlighting a different era of Gorillaz’ discography and culminating in the debut of their forthcoming album, The Mountain.
For those unable to attend in person, the experience continues online with the relaunch of Kong Studios as an immersive video game, blending the band’s rich history with interactive storytelling.
